Job Description-

 

If you love chocolate and working with customers, and enjoy working in a fast paced environment, this could be the opportunity for you.

 

Our Retail Associates work directly with customers and consistently demonstrate a high level of customer service.

 

Classification: Part-time, Non-Exempt

 

Schedule: Hours vary - must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

 

Essential Functions

• Provide excellent customer care including greeting and sampling every customer, informing every customer of store promotions, and demonstrating knowledge of product.

• Take phone and in-person orders from customers, and fulfill product orders.

• Operate cash register in an accurate manner, ensuring proper and consistent usage of discount and promotion buttons, and maintaining accurate cash and sales balances.

• Stock, merchandise, and rotate product to ensure quality standards and sufficient supplies are maintained.

• Cook and/or hand dip store made product to meet store requirement and order demands.

• Perform cleaning duties in compliance with food safety standards and to demonstrate a high level of store appearance and cleanliness.

 

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Ability to demonstrate positive moral and attitude, and demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times.

• Must be able to carefully follow written and/or verbal instructions

• Must be able to follow cooking instructions

• Must be able to visually inspect product and supplies to meet quality standards

• Must work well under pressure and meet deadlines

• Must be able to move throughout the shift including behind customer counters, around cooking tables and in stock room, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach away from the body and above waist level, and grasp small objects, with or without reasonable accommodation

Dear Hiring Manager,

 

I am extremely interested and excited about applying for this position as a retail associate at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! As a Durango native, your chocolate factory was always a fun and welcoming place, and I would be thrilled to be a part of this beautiful Durango attraction.I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge and skills in retail and food services.  I feel as if I would be a great addition to the Rocky Mountain team! As well as, allowing me to excel in this position at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and bring my strong attribute to this company. 

 

My attached resume shows a vast amount of skills in retail and customer service. Working through as a receptionist Specialist in Women's Care, I communicate with patients on a daily, over the phone and in person. I have gained many skills from this job such as running a cash register thoroughly, working well with customers, and being a team leader. Working through my church's day care, I have practiced safely on a daily basis. As well as, independently running a group of children in activities. And lastly, I am able to be responsible and work independently dealing with money, groups of people, and team members. 

 

Aside from my experience and work ethic, I pride myself in being responsible and reliable. Every company needs a reliable and dependable employee who isn't scared to get their hands dirty and always put in extra hours. As a student with very flexible hours, I know I would be able to be that employee. I am a good team member as well as being able to lead. Being a positive and reliable team member is very important to me. I would love to help build a positive and welcoming work environment for everybody.  As well as, being reliable, responsible, considerate, and practicing patient safety. Making a comfortable environment for others is one of my biggest strengths. This is something I would love to bring to the Rocky Mountain team! 

 

In conclusion, my experience in customer service, having a good work ethic, being reliable, and being a good team member will allow me to be able to provide an amazing environment for customers and employees.
