This year was full of struggle, passion, hard work, and dedication. As a student who has never done online schools, this year has been tough for me. I am usually a dedicated student but this year I struggled. Through the struggle, I learned a lot about perseverance and asking for help. I learned a lot about culture, food, tradition, and what is important to others. As a Hispanic student, I thought it was very interesting to compare similarities and differences in cultures around the world. I enjoyed this year of Spanish. The most powerful lesson I learned was, to be grateful. After learning about many cultures I feel grateful for all the love and opportunity I have. At times I complain about work or school when others can not attend school and have to work to help their families. The culture lessons of this year were very eye-opening and important to me.My biggest challenge this year in Spanish 3 was staying motivated. I would find myself waiting until the last minute to get my work done and not always produce work I was truly proud of. I found myself getting caught up in work and pushing Spanish until the last minute.My biggest accomplishments were my comprehension. Over time I noticed I was able to speak, read, and write more profiencet. There clearly is a lot of work to be done but I see improvement. My short-term goal is to finish high school Spanish with high proficiency and my long-term goal is to be able to travel and use my Spanish speaking skills. I want to work on communication in different cultures and speak to others away from home and out of the country.
